• FEA (Finite Element Modelling) allows us to design joins and seals between diverse materials to best accommodate differential thermal expansion

• Special low temperature braze techniques can hermetically seals a wide range of diverse materials eg

  • MgF2 direct onto stainless steel

  • Sapphire direct onto stainless steel

  • Copper & stainless steel directly into MGC (Machineable Glass Ceramic)

  • etc.

• In situ cleaning followed by sputter coating gives excellent adhesion

• UHV flux free processes ensure splash free optics, leak tightness and freedom from voids at UHV levels

• e-beam vacuum brazing for extreme high temperature work

• Helium leak tested  @ < 10^-10 mbarl/s
